Do my customers need to download an app?
No. They point their phone camera at the QR code and your menu opens in their browser. No app, no account, no sign-up.
How do I get paid?
Through Stripe. During setup you connect a Stripe account, and every payment goes straight into it, then out to your bank on Stripe’s normal payout schedule. Smartcrt never holds your money.
Do you take a commission?
No. Smartcrt is a flat monthly subscription or a one-off lifetime deal. The only per-order cost is Stripe’s standard card processing fee.
What hardware do I need?
Nothing new. Manage orders on the laptop, tablet or phone you already have. Print your QR codes on any printer, or use the three free branded prints we post you.
Can I keep my till?
Yes. Smartcrt runs alongside your existing till as an extra, self-service lane. Customers who’d rather order at the counter still can.
How long does setup take?
Most venues are ready in about 15 minutes. Photograph your menu, let the AI build your shop, check it over, connect Stripe and print your QR code.
Can my staff use it?
Yes. Invite them by email and they get a kitchen view where they can claim orders and mark them done. They can’t see your takings, payouts or settings.
What if there’s no signal at my event?
Most customers order on their own mobile data. For festivals and remote pitches, our plug-in 4G/5G router (£45, one-off) creates an on-site hotspot so orders keep flowing.
Can I change my menu and prices?
Any time, from your dashboard. Add specials, change prices or remove items and the change shows on your customers’ phones straight away.
Is there a contract?
No. The monthly plan can be cancelled whenever you like from your billing settings, and lifetime deals are a single payment.
